The Effects of Spiritual Practice on the Mental and Physical Health of Public Service Workers in Kingdom of Cambodia

\r\nAbtract\r\n      This study examined the effects of spiritual practice or mediation on mental and physical health among public service workers in kingdom of Cambodia who practiced some form of meditation. A qualitative approach was used to conduct face-to-face interviews with public service workers who regularly engaged in some form of spiritual practice or spiritual practice. The study examined what led public service workers to choose spiritual practice as a technique to reduce and cope with stress and depression, and how agencies integrated Eastern approaches to work place stress-reduction.\r\nResults indicated that although public service workers used many forms of spiritual practice, the most commonly used style of meditation, both personally and professionally was mindfulness meditation. One theme that emerged was that all the participants reported improvement in their well-being as a result of their spiritual practice and or spiritual practice.\r\n\r\nKeywords: Spiritual Practice, Public Service Workers\r\nThefull paper may be found in Click Download\r\n\r\n\r\n
